Villa Southern Dunes is our luxury 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom (2 en suite) holiday villa, in Orlando, Florida. Sleeping up to ten, this well-appointed villa has a private, west-facing pool, free wireless Internet, free local, national and international telephone calls, flat screen cable HDTVs in both living rooms and all four bedrooms.
 
Unlike many similar villas in the Disney area, which advertise they sleep 10, Villa Southern Dunes can also seat 10 and provide dining for 10. We have 3 leather 3-seater sofas (1 sofa-bed) in one living room, and a further 2 sofas (a 2- and a 3-seater) in the family living room. A 10-seater solid-wood dining table & chairs are provided in the dining room with a further 6-seater table and chairs in the breakfast area next to the kitchen.
 
The villa has it's own private west-facing swimming pool (approx. 26' x 12' max). This is alongside a large pool deck with 4 sun loungers, a table and 6 chairs with a covered Lanai if you wish to escape the Florida sunshine. The pool and deck can be lit to be used in the evening. In winter, pool heat is available (additional charge) to make your winter swim a little warmer and replacing the pool cover helps keep the water that much warmer.
 
The pool is surrounded by a screen which keeps out the bugs and the deck has a security curtain which can be used to prevent children accessing the pool without supervision, for their safety. The sliding doors have alarms which can be used if you wish to ensure the kids don't wander out onto the deck unsupervised. Just outside the deck is a charcoal BBQ for your use (or in the garage you will find a gas BBQ) and plastic plateware and cups are available for refreshments out by the pool.
 
The main living area has a 42" flat-screen cable HDTV with HD DVD player. The family living room has a 26" flat screen cable HDTV and DVD, and there is another flat screen 22" cable TV and DVD in both master bedrooms. The remaining two bedrooms also all have flatscreen 19" cable HDTVs.

NEW FOR 2011: The villa now has a Games Room in the garage, with 8-foot slate pool table, air hockey table, foosball, electronic darts, together with a toy box with cars, dolls, lego, dress-up clothes and, for our very small guests, a Toy Story rocking horse. The Mickey Master now has now been upgraded to a king-size bed with pillow-top mattress, and the Donald Master now has a queen-size bed with pillow-top mattress.
 
The villa is at the end of a cul-de-sac and offers a driveway for parking 2 cars.
 
The villa is just over 20 miles away from the major Disney World attractions of Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot and Hollywood Studios, Universal, Seaworld and loads more. This area of Kissimmee is also well-supplied with outlet malls for cut-price designer outfits and restaurants for all tastes and pockets.
 
Villa Southern Dunes is located in the Southern Dunes Golf and Country Club community, hosting the award-winning Southern Dunes Golf Course. The club house is a ten minute walk away and offers a golf shop and restaurant. The golf course, designed by Steve Smyers, offers a challenging round, with tees for players of various skill levels. The community, with 24-hour manned security, also offers swimming pool, tennis court, a fishing lake, library and a gym.
 
In the immediate vicinity are a number of stores (including 24-hour Super Wal-mart, Winn-Dixie, Publix, Walgreens, CVS Pharmacy, Aldi, Blockbusters, Dollar Tree) and restaurants (including Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, McDonalds, Burger King, Dairy Queen, Quiznos). Posner Park Mall is about 10 minutes away with JC Penney, Target, Best Buy (electrical), Staples, Dick's Sporting Goods, Ross, Michaels (arts & crafts) and Books-A-Million and others .
