The old roman town of Aguilar de Campoo is 8kms from the village. Aguilar sits on the banks of the Rio Pisuerga and is just 2kms from the beautiful Embalse Aguilar which has lovely sandy beaches and caters for a number of water sports during the summer months. Just 2kms from the village is the stunning Tuerces National Park and Escarpment. Hiking and cycling are popular activities and probably one of the best ways to see this stunningly beautiful countryside with its caves, canyons escarpment, rivers, lakes etc and of course the skiing at the family friendly ski resort of Alto Campoo, just a 30min drive away.
