The charming estate of Borgo Tranquilitta is surrounded by wooded hills of olives and bucolic charm that surround it like a garden, the vistas are phenomenal. Here are three, lovely detached cottages - each lovingly restored.
Each cottage has two bedrooms - one double and one single, although additional sleeping accommodation is available by sofa bed. Each has its own sitting room, fitted kitchen and bathroom and each of the cottages has a wood burning fireplace.
(For large groups who would like to book the whole village, there is also an additional accommodation providing a dining room for 10-12, plus an additional kitchen and bathroom. It also has a small sitting room with an additional sofa bed.)
Each has one or two private terraces for ’al fresco’ dining. The village has a large crystal swimming pool which has been idyllically positioned for the splendid views. Although the houses have central heating, each has a large open fireplace welcoming early and late season visitors. Castiglion Fiorentino is about 7kms. which is midway between the historic towns of Arezzo and Cortona. Lake Trasimeno with its pretty beaches is within easy driving distance. From here you can relax, unwind and enjoy the lovely scenery - or, there are day excursions to Cortona, Arezzo, Montepulcinao, Pienza, Assisi and more. Wine is a famous Tuscan export and you can use some of your time here to explore the many vineyards or go on a wine tour (In English, French, Danish, German) and enjoy some of the superior wines Tuscany has to offer. Other activities in the area are cooking classes, truffle hunting and numerous festivals throughout the year.
The property is available all year round. During low season periods, the property is available on a daily basis (minimum three nights). With flexible arrival dates.
