Les Gîtes de Kerdalidec are situated in Finistère 40 minutes east of Roscoff just outside the sea-side village of Plougasnou. Our three child-friendly cottages are ideal for family groups of 12, 5 or 4 people and are ideal for family beach holidays or couples holidaying on their own. They are alsofully heated for Winter breaks.

The group of cottages which is called “Les Gîtes de Kerdalidec” is an old Breton farmstead built of pink granite, just outside the village of Plougasnou, surrounded by fields of maize and artichokes and only two kilometres from a picturesque sandy beach. Two hundred years ago, the Longhouse was the bakery for the village and still contains the massive granite fireplace and arched stonework of the bread oven. The village is only ten minutes walk and there you will find a large supermarket, boulangerie, medical centre, tourist office…in fact everything you could possible need. There is also an excellent restaurant at the end of our road which is only five minutes walk and has a good kid’s menu. Babies and children are on the whole welcomed in French restaurants.
Kerdalidec is perfect for children and has a play area with swings and a slide in the shared part of the garden. There are also animals to feed such as chickens, ducks, rabbits and Billy the little white goat and many children have cried when they had to go home and leave the rabbits. For babies we can provide cots, high-chairs and stair-gates.
Guests can relax in the beautiful gardens of the property while their children play safely and for several years now the garden has won first prize in the village“Maison Fleuri” competition. We have a couple of old bikes which guests can use to nip to the boulangerie for croissants in the morning and for those of a more adventurous spirit we can arrange horse riding, sailing courses, scuba diving, deep-sea fishing, tennis and you can hire bikes and kayaks at the restaurant just at the end of our road.

Rental Terms & Conditions
BOOKING CONDITIONS
1. The property known as Kerdalidec (the “Property”) is offered for holiday rental, subject to confirmation by D. Gamble (the “Owner”), to the renter (the “Client”).
2. To reserve the Property, the Client should complete and sign the booking form and return it together with payment of the initial non-refundable deposit (25% of the total rental due). Following receipt of the booking form and deposit, the Owner will send a confirmation invoice and statement. This is the formal acceptance of the booking.
3. The balance of the rent together with the security deposit (see Clause 4) is payable not less than 8 weeks before the start of the rental period. If payment is not received by the due date, the Owner reserves the right to give notice in writing that the reservation is cancelled. The Client will remain liable to pay the balance of the rent unless the Owner is able to re-let the Property. In this event Clause 5 will apply. Reservations made within 8 weeks of the start of the rental period require full payment at the time of booking.
4. A security deposit of £100 is required in case of, for example, accidental damage to the property or its contents. However the sum reserved by this cause shall not limit the Client’s liability to the Owner. The Client agrees to pay for any damage to the Property or loss or damage to its contents. The Owner reserves the right to make a retention from the security deposit to cover any of these events. The Owner will account to the Client for the security deposit and refund the balance due within 2 weeks of the end of the rental period.
5. With reference to Clauses 2 and 3 above, the Client is strongly advised to arrange a comprehensive travel insurance policy including cancellation cover and full cover for personal belongings, public liability etc. since these are not covered by the Owner’s insurance.
6. The maximum number to reside in the Property must not exceed 14 in the Longhouse, 5 in the Crêche and 2 adults and 2 children in the Wellhouse unless agreed previously with the Owner.
7. The Client must leave the Property in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the rental period. The Owner reserves the right to make a retention from the security deposit to cover additional cleaning costs if the Property is left in an unacceptable condition.
8. Under no circumstances shall the Owner’s liability to the Client exceed the amount paid to the Owner for the rental period.
9. This contract shall be governed by French law in every particular including information and interpretation and shall be deemed to have been made in France. Any proceedings arising out of or in conjunction with this contract may be brought in any court of competent jurisdiction in France.
