It is renowned for its beauty, various watersports and excellent carp fishing, the Lac boasts several clean sandy beaches. Pontivy is a 25minute drive it is a medieval town with a fortified 15th century chateau overlooking the river and. The old town, around Place du Martray, has narrow streets and overhanging wooden houses and a good Monday market. The bay of Saint-Brieuc is 30minutes away and is the 5th bay in the world for its tidal amplitude. The tide can go out as far as 7 km, revealing many treasures. mussels, crabs and winkles and about 70 other species of shellfish inhabit these thousands of uncovered hectares of peaceful landscapes that change with the light and the clouds. A listed nature reserve, the Bay welcomes more than 120 species of birds, brent geese, ducks and curlews. This is a fabulous sight in the winter! There is much to see and do in this beautiful department of Brittany, (as our guest book will testify!). and with budget airlines, flying into Dinard and Rennes which are both only 90minutes away, and the ferry port of St Malo also a 90minute drive, a wonderful holiday is just waiting to be discovered.
Terms and conditions of rental A deposit of 50% (subject to the cancellation policy below) is required with your confirmation of booking. the balance of the amount due, together with a refundable security deposit of £200 is to be paid not later than 8 weeks prior to holiday commencement. Reservations made within eight weeks of the rental period, require full payment at the time of booking. Cancellation Policy If you find it necessary to cancel your reservation, the following refunds will apply: Up to 8 weeks to your holiday commencement - no cancellation charge. (Full refund) 8 to 4 weeks to your holiday commencement - 50% of the sum paid, refunded. 4 to 2 weeks to your holiday commencement - 25% of the sum paid, refunded. Less than 2 weeks to your holiday commencement - no refund. The security deposit is required in case of, for example, damage to the Property or its contents.
